Yanmorg | Is that possible? My Taurus Ascendant is in the last decan putting it at 27 degrees so I know it's closer to a Gemini Ascendant, but when I looked at my chart, Gemini was above the 1st house and Taurus was above the 12th house. Is that possible? What does this mean? Will I display traits of a Gemini and a Taurus Ascendant? |
lalalinda | It can be confusing. Your Ascendant is firmly in Taurus. Since its degree is towards the end of the sign it shows 3 degrees left of Taurus and a full Gemini 1st house. You're bound to be feeling some Gemini.------------------

Yanmorg | Yeah I figured that. That explains a lot in regards to my personality and considering the fact that my mother has her Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Gemini all in her first house, I see hoe that would manifest in my birth chart. It's not uncommon for us to take some aspects and planets from our parents. My dad has a Taurus moon too. |
cappy1277 | Consider what house system you also used as well |
Yanmorg | Equal. Should I have used placidus? |
cappy1277 | equal is just what it implies...if you use placidus it will show the 1st house cusp as being your ascendant. |
Yanmorg | what do you mean by implies? It implies who I really am? What house system is better? |
cappy1277 | equal house implies that each house is equal...30 degrees for each house. |
cappy1277 | if you use placidus it may show other planets in different houses than equal so it may give a different reading |
Yanmorg | Yeah I use both, but I find that the equal house system is a little more accurate when it comes to certain planets in the houses. |
